Go Forward~ Cuba 2015

This year on March 9th it marked the 20 year anniversary since my car accident. Naturally we as a family have so much to be thankful for. I decided to have tee shirts made in honor of the 20 year anniversary. All I wanted out of those shirts was one picture to unify (to make or become a single unit)  the people whom are in our lives at this time. We have had SO many important people in our lives over the past 20 years, some are still of vital importance. Some have left us, but we will never forget them and I would love nothing more than to thank each of them.

My man tie dying his shirt!

Well I got my picture and I was happy..as I looked them over I couldn't stop smiling at how much we've changed, grown.
Couple weekends ago we decided to tie dye our Go Forward shirts...bring some color too them. It was just myself, Paul and Kailey. We had some fun! I've shared some pics from our family Tie Dying evening..family bonding!

Here is my finished product..I love my shirt and I'm so happy we did it!

A family that tie dyes together, stays together! Until tomorrow my friends good night and God bless~

Easter Cake and The Walking Dead~

Yesterday mom invited us for dinner, sadly she woke up not feeling well and had to cancel our dinner plans. I had told her that I would bring dessert, so before she had cancelled I already started the cakes. I have been dying to try this Easter cake idea for awhile..so this is how it went.
Two cake mixes..I did marble cake.
Using chocolate icing..I frosted the top of the bottom cake and then added the top cake.
Then you have to ice the whole cake..looks so good already!!
So this cute idea came from a Vlog family that I follow called the SacconeJoly's. Anna(the mom) had done this previously. You take the large shreddies and crush them up..I think I used 4-5 of them. Then you melt your favorite chocolate. I used chocolate chips..it's what I had at home. Stir the shreddies into the chocolate...

The cutest idea ever..then use a spoon and top the cake with your shreddies mixture into the form of a birds nest.

Cute right?!
Add some cute Easter eggs to the chocolate nest, maybe a couple little chicks and look at that!!!
Cutest little Easter cake!!

Even though mom was sick, I still took them over some cake. Didn't want it to go to waste.
Last night was also the season finale of The Walking Dead, that's a pretty important night In our home. As you can see Oliver was wearing his glasses and walking dead zombie tie. Overall it was a great night in the Martz household. Hope some of you try this cake for the upcoming Easter weekend. It was super easy and absolutely delicious! Until tomorrow my friends..enjoy your day~

I'm Back...and hoping to put a darn good commitment into this blog once again~

Well friends...Hello!

Here I am once again, wanting to blog. It has literally been almost a year since my last blog post. It must be a spring thing that makes my mind want to be creative. I have a lot of things I really want to share, but fearful not enough to support a daily blog.
I am going to fiddle my way through this...find new ideas and hopefully enhance my blog with exciting, interesting information. I will do my best, please be patient. I have come up with some new ways to entice readers and hopefully broaden my views. I think the reason why I have given up in the past is because I don't feel I had the support that I had hoped for. I was disappointed in family and friends...their lack of support and encouragement.

I am excited to be writing again, I have enjoyed going back and reading some of the old blog posts...its so neat to read and remember the things that I have done. Well friends, I think I am off for the day...the sunshine is out..but its still so cold. Wishing for warmth~
