100 Things I Want To Teach MY Daughter #68~When you look at a field of dandelions, you can either see a hundred weeds or a thousand wishes.

#68

So lets look at this quote.
I know it might seem like I'm cheating when I take quotes off Pinterest and place them on my blog. But really all I'm doing is starting the conversation based on quotes that I deem important in life lessons.
So number 68 in my line up of 100 Things I Want To Teach My Daughter happens to be this gem.
What I really thought about when I read this quote was how your father would totally see all the weeds, but I would see all the wishes.

That's how we are different, but that's how we work together.
For you fox, I believe you are more like your dad. I mean that with the utmost respect. You and your dad are so similar, the way you think and the way you keep things real has always inspired me. I do appreciate that in you both. Its a quality that keeps your slightly elevated mom grounded.

What I would like to leave here to you in this lesson however, is that when all else fails during a shit storm in life always try to find a positive.
Don't be negative, even when you are finding it impossibly challenging to be happy just look around and find a different way of looking at the situation.
Its totally ok fox too be negative sometimes, just don't stay there too long. That's my point with this post, when you view something as being gloomy take the time to change your thoughts.
For instance, so many people has questioned how your father and I could ever find happiness again after the catastrophe we survived so many years ago. There was always and still is two ways we can look at that situation in our life. The only thing I can do is look at our circumstances and be thankful it happened because we love who we are today. We love the life we live, we are blessed with this family who we wouldn't change for the world.
We have met so many amazing people in our years, we've been inspired by many of those we crossed paths with.
We too have been inspiring to some, taking our life story and turning it into lessons for others.
What more in life could I ask for? We are all here today, healthy, happy and thriving and honestly fox if you have that in life..you have all you need.
So when you see all those weeds peeking up on your spring lawn, and you find your self frustrated at the cost and work its going to take to remove them all, pick one, make a wish..and blow~
