What you lookin for...I hook you up!

Well, we had success! Yes, I mean we found the secret stash...the underworld of purses!! Let me say...the kids were sketchin', thought fo' sure were going to be shot down in the streets!
All went well, apparently I pissed off some dude who wanted our buisness when I told him we were going to look around before we purchased our "items." When we came accross a new "vendor" he came right up into my grill telling ME, that I didn't believe him, he could have taken our "order"..he was pissed because we didn't go with him!! WELL...don't f**k with a momma in NYC dude, because I pointed my chubby little finger right in his face and said to him.."first of all...I never said that I didn't trust you!! and second of all.."my kids wanted do check out some of the other stores in the area!!"..LOL, he backed off really quick and the kids once again were sketchin'...
He was an ok guy..actually he was nice, after I put him in his place!! LOL
So that was our first experience this morning, we hopped on the cityline bus tours and headed for Chinatown. Afterwards we went to Battery park and the World Trade Center site. We checked out the fire hall and even took a picture with a New York firefighter. It was really cool..the kids liked it.

We read alot of the notes and pictures left from family members who were lost in 9/11. We also made it to the little church that survived the Twin towers fall..."St.Paul's Chapel". I can't even begin to explain the feeling that you get inside that church. It was powerful, I was waiting in line to use the washroom in the church and was looking out the back door into the onsite graveyard. The graveyard that was in the back of this church was an old one, not one from 9/11...they dated back to the 1800's. But as I was looking out the back door, in a very peaceful moment...I thought of those men and women who probably stood in the exact same spot as I and wondered the emotions that were being felt for them. Can you even begin to imagine what they would have seen, what they would have heard and even smelled. I wondered what would have been going through their minds as they stood in that spot, exhausted, sore, and over powered with sadness but filled with determination. I even looked down at the floor and pictured all those firefighters who dripped sweat and tears right there on that very floor!
It was compelling..it was a moment I will never forget!

Kailey and Carrigan getting thier faces sketched on the streets on New York!

This is kinda like a where's waldo picture...if you look close enough you can see our crew! I'll give you a hint...we are located at the top of the number two, if you look really close you can see me actually taking the picture!
Today was fantastic, we had another great day! No inceidents, everyone is still happy, getting along and no fights!
