Good bye Spencer

Today was a little laid back, not too much going on. Spencer had to go back home and it was hard to see him go! He does enjoy being here, but i think its because everytime he is here it is a holiday and life is easier going for us. He hasn't had the opportunity to visit us during a regular school/work week, so his visits are always fun. I have tried to explain that during the week we are scheduled, busy, tired, cranky and at times we don't even talk...that's called quiet time! When he is here we have late nights, movie nights, pajama nights, party nights and going out nights. We eat out, house gets messy, music always playing, phone ringing, kids running in and out all the time, lots of video games, junk food..etc, etc, which i am sure is loads of fun, for a teenager...but exhausting for us parents. Once its time to clean house, things settle down and get back to normal..which is not always easy to adjust back too. We do look forward to his return, because that means its a holiday!!
This year i made one new year resolution..to kiss my husband more often on a daily basis. Sometimes we can go a whole day without a kiss and that is sad. We will kiss more Sparkee...starting tomorrow!! The kids are back to school on Monday, they are dreading it and so am I.
I am not a fan of early mornings, making lunches and homework. The school years are so busy, but i find the older they get the faster it goes by. We are sitting here debating whether to watch a movie or go out and see one...its getting late, i'm tired hopefully we'll stay in.
