Happy New Year...Welcome 2010!!!

Well welcome to my daily blog, my goal this year to to write everyday! I hope to become inspired by family, friends, work, parenting, marriage and all things wonderful in life. I will continue to post pictures of things happening daily in my life. Hopefully by the end of this year i will have enough inspiration to write my book and find a publisher interested in following this project. Having the opportunity to blog will let me know how serious i am and how determined and dedicated i will be when i start writing.
I cannot believe that it is 2010, its going to be a great year! Let's start with last night, wow what a party! It was wonderful, we had so much fun and rang in the new year with great friends and family. My mom and dad were at a wedding but managed to make it here in time for the new year count down. I am so glad they did because it wouldn't have been the same without them here! Of course the night began with the hockey game, which we as canadians won, very proud moment. Shortly after the game ended we busted open the karaoke machine and belted out some great tunes, starting with "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", Semone took over with some 80's tunes which of course i loved! Followed by Beth singing her favorite tune by Bon Jovi "I'll Be here For You". Candy led in the singing relentlessly, and ended up needing water to save her dry throat! Colleen was on a mission last night to drink as much as she could, she had a drink in each hand most of the night! Jill was in charge of the martini's..my candy cane martini's didn't turn out exactly as i had hoped however Terri still liked them and didn't complain that the candy cane rimmer didn't work out. Thank god Jill had a great recipe for chocolate martini's and we settled nicely with those in hand. The girls all skated in the dark down at the pond, they had a game of ringette. Eventually they found their way home, ate some food, bellowed out a tune by the spice girls and then quietly retreated to the hot tub to warm their toes from skating on the pond. The boys...vlogged all night, you can watch Braden's vlog on BSmedia, featured on youtube. They of course had a beer, and played some video games. The men all watched the hockey game, then pulled out the poker chips for a game of poker..which of course Jill, the only women playing smoked them all and walked away with an extra 20 dollars in her pocket!! Way to show them who's boss Jill!!
It was a great night, i love my friends and family..i am truly blessed and in moments when you are welcoming a new year..it is then that i realize that i have won the life lottery!
On a side note, i just finished sewing Carrigan's mitten...i hope she's happy with that!
Spencer leaves tomorrow, we are sad to see him go...we love having him here, it makes Braden so happy!
Happy New Year to everyone, all the best in 2010!
