Tranquil moments

Tonight we went to a friends house for a ringette get together. It was wonderful, very nice evening! The company was fabulous, always a good time with this group of people, food was tantilizing and the atmosphere was awe-inspiring. Ok, so what I mean when I say that is...the land they have is breathtaking and their home is astonishing. Seriously, I have never seen anything like it! We all felt like we were sitting in the hotel lobbey of chalet in Whistle bare, British columbia...the place was something else. It literally was a log cabin, built with huge tree's and lumber. The fire place was made of beautiful stones and logs and they had a bar/island in the kitchen like something I have never seen. It was a simple home, you could tell they love their peace and serenity. The home was not overwhelmed with tv's, computers and video games..it was filled with warmth, family photos and memories. The parents bedroom was built to over look a beautiful spring, and the water was a stunning tourqoise blue...i can only imagine scenery in the fall. I was envious of the sight they had the opportunity to wake up to every morning. Sarah commented that its nice to get away from the busy world and look out her window just to put life into perspective. Boy could I relate to that! What I would do to be able to downsize, simplify and live a less stressed life outside of the city. I did not take any pictures tonight...unfortunately, Ethan was with us too, he had a great time! Lots of fun, he ran outside all evening long with the kids. It was nice to have him, he is such a good boy. Tomorrow we head out shopping with Nana for bday presents for Ethan. Then supper with the family! I am looking forward to it!
