Today was great~ I made an awesome dinner we had chicken cordon bleu, and I made a home made lemon merangue pie. It was so good!! I posted a picture of my latest creation, we all enjoyed a piece tonight.
This afternoon a good friend came by to drop off the dog beds that I asked her to OH so kindly sew together for me!
This friend is someone who I am greatful enough to get to spend most of my weekends with. Michelle is honestly my conscious, she totally keeps me in check! She knows right from wrong and is constantly reminding me of that! You see, I tend to break the rules a bit and I sometimes think the world works hard to accomadate me. I know that is slightly arrogant of me, however when I set my mind to something...not much can stop me from getting what I want..is that really a bad thing?
Michelle and I have the kind of friendship that results in no expectations. We can be honest and true with one another and we share so many fascinating conversations. We can talk about parenting, careers, teenagers, preteens, education, marriage and friendships. We have alot in common too..we love to laugh, usually at eachother! We laugh at our girls, our husbands and at our quirkinesses when we share romantic evenings as lovers in Quecbec..inside joke! Love those beaver tails!
Well, she so generously took time from her life to sew together these faux leather beds that I have waited years to have for my puppies. It has always been my intention to order leather dog beds for the dogs, they are easy to clean and do not collect dog hair..the dog hair brushes off so nicely leaving them with a clean look. The problem was I couldn't find leather beds that were priced decently. Most were priced at least 300.00 dollars a bed! That seemed ridiculous to me, finally I realized ok, i will go to Lens Mills store and buy some material and just ask someone to make them for me! The faux leather material that I bought was $40.00 a bed, and $11.00 for the polyester filling. Basically each bead cost me roughly $51.00, again I was so impressed with myself. These beds turned out perfect, they look amazing and the dogs love them. They match my living room superbly.
Finley enjoying her bed...she just loves it!
Harley wasn't too sure at first about his bed, he isn't to much into comfort. He just isn't high maintanence, over the course of the evening though he kept going back to it and giving it a chance, he loves it know!!
Hehe, that's so awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the beds! Look at you go, creates an amazing wine console, and now some amazing doggy beds! (And both looks better than what money could buy, plus the saitsfaction of knowing it's home made adds some extra value in my books!) They are lovely! :)
